Abstract

Carcinoma of the endometrium is the most common gynecologic malignancy in the United States, accounting for 38,000 new cases and 3,200 deaths every year [1]. Although surgery and radiation therapy are quite effective and achieve 80–90% cure rates in early stages, most of the fatalities occur in patients with advanced, recurrent, or metastatic disease.
