Abstract

The activation of the coagulation mechanisms plays an important role in the sequence of events triggered by humoral immunological factors leading to glomerular damage. In this context, wide epithelial proliferation -affecting a 50% or more of the glomeruli- and some diffuse proliferative nephritis secondary to collagen or systemic diseases are situations where the intraglomerular fibrin formation is currently agreed.
