Abstract
Hypopituitarism designates absence of Pituitary Hormones Secretion. Patients with this Syndrome may lack one (isolated deficiency) or several hormones (Panhypopituitarism). In the post-puberal age, it usually presents as a long standing illness characterized by symptoms and signs of one or several hormone deficiencies. At the onset, most patients develop symptoms of prolactin deficiency (no lactation) followed by symptoms of Gonadotrophin failure (amenorrhea, loss of libido, impotence). Depending on the nature and extension of the pituitary lesion, patients may develop symptoms and signs of Hypothyroidism and eventually Adrenal Insufficiency appears.l
