Abstract
The application of stainless steels as AISI 316 L + Mo and 316L Mo + N2 as implantable materials is well known. Their biological response being established, the major stainless steel grades are now covered by international standards, i.e. ISO, ASTM, DIN, AFNOR and Italian UNI.
