Abstract

Two psoralens are presently established as standard photosensitizers in photochemotherapy of psoriasis. These are 8-methoxypsoralen (8-MOP), administered mainly orally for systemic treatment and trimethylpsoralen (TMP), which is used topically in the form of PUVA-baths as whole body treatment.
