Changes in Psychometric Test Scores After Cardiac Surgery

  • Chapter
Impact of Cardiac Surgery on the Quality of Life

Abstract

Five hundred patients were entered into the study “Neurological and Psychological Aspects of the Impact of Cardiac Surgery on the Quality of Life.” When the study is complete, another five hundred patients will have been entered. At that time the data reported herein will be altered, perhaps significantly. We ask that you reflect upon these data as indicators, providing direction and guidance as to the definition of the distinct subgroup of patients whose established, but undefined, existence provided the impetus for this study.
