Hard Photons from Intermediate Energy Heavy Ion Collisions

High energy photons emitted in heavy ion collisions have been shown to provide direct information on the reaction dynamics. This result emerges from extensive studies performed by several groups for various target-projectile combinations at bombarding energies below 100 MeV/u. A comprehensive review of this field has recently been given in [1].
