Abstract
The need for secure communications has existed for many centuries. Prom the earliest times people have entrusted messages with messengers. Even today a head of state will send a personal message to another head of state by sending their Foreign Secretary or Ambassador. In this method of communication the security is entirely dependent on the security of the messenger. If the messenger is not trustworthy or is intercepted, then the message is compromised.
