Abstract
The first action required for implementing Quality Improvement is communicating to our organization management’s ownership both of Quality and the Quality Improvement process. Therefore, the objective of this implementation action is ‘to make it perfectly clear’ that the organization’s management is dedicated to Quality, committed to Quality Improvement, and fully responsible for the planning, implementation and success of our Quality Improvement efforts. This message must be absolutely clear to the entire organization and it must be continually reinforced through actions, not just words.
