Abstract

This paper briefly presents the current practicable steps for carrying out LCA, and points out the reasons which lead different LCA studies to different conclusion, although they describe the same type of studies referring to the assessment of the same products. As an example results of two different studies for different packing materials, the BUWAL packaging study and the study conducted by European Centre for Plastic in the Environment, has been considered
