The Static Many-Soliton Distribution of Bipolar Plasma in Many-Valley Semiconductor Ge

Abstract

In recent times detailed experimental investigations of spontaneous current instabilities, associated with creation of driving space-charge domains in monopolar carrier system due to impurity breakdown at liquid-helium temperature under dc electric field bias in a bulk of pure p-Ge have been carried out, see 1,2 and ref. there. The theoretical model of solitary space-charge waves was elaborated in 3 and proved to be in good agreement with these experimental results.
