Abstract

Mesons are quark-antiquark bound states. For a fermion-antifermion pair like qq̄ having orbital angular momentum L and total spin S, the P-parity and the C-parity are related to L and S by:

$$P = (\!-1\!)^{L+1}, \;C = (\!-1\!)^{L+S}.$$
