Abstract
In this paper, a formula is built up for calculating the theoretical cooling power of a 4.2K G-M refrigerator in a wide temperature range. Numerical analysis of heat losses is presented due to the imbalance of the helium enthalpy between the high pressure and low pressure, and the Simon compression in the void volume of the low temperature regenerator. The comparison between the experimental result and the numerical analysis is also presented.
