Magnetic Investigations on Cu(II)- And Fe(III)-Containing Liquid Crystalline Metallopolymers

  • Chapter
Metal-Containing Polymeric Materials

Abstract

In the last years, we focused our interest on specific properties of paramagnetic metallopolymers1,2 and metallomesogens3-8 which may occur as a result of their structural features. The close-range order in these materials may provide special interactions, which are not present in related crystalline compounds. Moreover, temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements can be generally used as a valuable tool to examine structural features.
