Purification and Characterization of Nerve Growth Factors (NGFs) from the Snake Venoms

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology ((AEMB,volume 391))

Abstract

In general, Elapidae venoms contain low molecular weight proteins, such as neurotoxins and cytotoxins, and are poor in enzymes, while Viperidae and Crotalidae venoms contain higher molecular weight proteins and are rich in enzymes.
