Exact Solution for Simply Supported and Multilayered Magneto-Electro-Elastic Cylindrical Shells

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Advances in Mechanics and Mathematics ((AMMA,volume 3))

Abstract

An exact solution is derived for a simply-supported and multilayered magneto-electro-elastic cylindrical shell. The solution for a homogeneous cylindrical shell is obtained in terms of the pseudo-Stroh formalism, solution for multilayered cylindrical shell is derived based on the transfer matrix method. A numerical example is presented for sandwich cylindrical shells.
