Abstract

Having constructed the functor A PL : topological spaces commutative cochain algebras in §10, and the functor A DR : smooth manifolds commutative cochain algebras in §11, we focus now on the study of commutative cochain algebras themselves. Here the principal role is played by the Sullivan cochain algebras (or Sullivan algebras for short) which we introduce now:
