Abstract

In addition to the individual presentations made by workshop participants which were reflected in the papers in the preceding sections, considerable time at the Workshop was devoted to general discussion of a number of topics. Because the meeting was planned as an Interface Workshop bringing together people from industry and universities, most of these discussions centered on ways in which industry and universities could cooperate and on the impediments to achieving that cooperation.
