Abstract

Consider the equation for the potential function of an irrotational, incompressible fluid in three dimensions ΔФ = 0 with the velocity vector \(\vec q\) = grad Φ. The components of \(\vec q\) are \(u = \frac{{\partial \Phi }}{{\partial x}}v = \frac{{\partial \Phi }}{{\partial u}}w = \frac{{\partial \Phi }}{{\partial z.}}\)
