Abstract

The concept of postpartum headache usually brings two problems to the minds of those who care for the obstetric patient: the postdural puncture headache (PDPH) and the postpartum “blues.” However, there are other less appreciated, but nevertheless important, causes of postpartum headache, related or unrelated to the administration of anesthesia.

This chapter will deal in depth with the postdural puncture headache and briefly review postpartum headaches of other etiologies.
