My Current Views Regarding Coronary Bypass Surgery

Abstract

There is ample evidence to indicate that coronary bypass surgery relieves or improves stable angina in 80% or more of patients. My overall view therefore is that it is an operation mainly for symptoms. The impact of the operation upon survival is still being debated.
