Abstract

Cineradiography, also called cinefluoroscopy or, simply, cine, is a valuable diagnostic instrument for the radiologist, physician, and surgeon [1,2,3]. Studies are obtained through use of an x-ray—activated fluorescent screen and image intensifier unit. Recordings may be made directly on magnetic television tape, on film taken from the tape, or directly from the fluoroscopic instrument. Permanent visual records are made on 35- or 16-mm x-ray movie film, usually at 16 frames/s, or directly on magnetic television tape.
