Abstract

This chapter is not intended to present a full or even partial solution to the divining rod problem. Its primary purpose, rather, is to present a survey of the results of recent investigations in this area as they pertain to electromagnetic fields. It is also hoped that a closer look at the question of the existence of “geopathogenic,” or location-dependent, effects will shed further light on the factors underlying the volatile nature of this controversial subject.
