Abstract
Quality Assurance (QA) as used here means a totally integrated program for ensuring that data gathered in environmental trace analyses are reliable. Quality assurance is concerned with all activities that have an important effect on the quality of the environmental measurement. A QA program must be specific for the entity or laboratory involved and should include the purpose, policies, organization, and operations required to provide the desired level of environmental measurements.
