Abstract
The advanced delivery systems that are being developed for future clinical use are of increasing complexity and must be evaluated extensively by in vitro and in vivo tests. It is often necessary for research, development and regulatory purposes to have direct information in the following areas:-

The position or distribution of the delivery system in the body

ii.
The integrity of the delivery system

iii.
The in vivo release characteristics
