Summary

Rat hepatocyte glycogen phosphorylase is activated by vasopressin, α1-adrenergic agonists and an active phorbol ester in the presence of 1 µM A23187. Alpha1adrenergic agonists and vasopressin stimulate a rapid degradation of phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate as well as increase the conversion of phosphatidylinositol to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate in rat hepatocytes
