Abstract
ELLPACK can be used to solve or study problems where its “automatic” problem solving capabilities do not apply. To use ELLPACK in this way requires that one have an understanding of both the ELLPACK system and the numerical methods involved. Even more complicated applications depend on knowing some of the details of the implementations in the ELLPACK modules. We illustrate this use of ELLPACK with five examples.
