Mass-Balance and Transfer Mechanisms of Phosphorus in a Rural Watershed of Lac Leman, France

  • Conference paper
Sediments and Water Interactions

Abstract

The Redon, with a drainage area of 33 km2, is one of six sub-basins chosen by the Commission Internationale pour la Protection des Eaux du LĂ©man (CIPEL) to study nonpoint pollution in the Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) watershed. The objectives of our study were to estimate the contributions of the different sources of phosphorus in this watershed and to estimate transfer mechanisms that are characteristic of a hillside stream.
