Abstract

In this chapter we make some comparisons with moduli that were introduced in earlier mathematical literature. We will not discuss comparisons with ωr(f,h) p ; that was done throughout the paper. Nor will we discuss comparison with the Freud and Mhaskar modulus, as that was done in Chapter 11. We will emphasize results relating to best polynomial approximation, as that problem was the primary incentive for some authors to search for a modulus different from ωr(f,h) p .
