Gene Regulation by Steroid Hormones III

Abstract

Human plasma corticosteroid-binding globulin (CBG) and rat testicular androgen-binding protein (ABP) belong to a group of high-affinity steroidbinding proteins that are traditionally thought of as “extracellular” steroid transport proteins. Both proteins have been purified to apparent homogeneity, specific antibodies have been raised against them, and their physicochemical characteristics and physiological functions have been the subject of numerous articles.
