Abstract

In order to use the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) serology for prognostic evolution of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), sera of two groups of NPC patients were analyzed for EBV reactivities. Patients belonging to the first group survived more than seven years after the first diagnosis of the tumor, whereas in the second group patients died within one or two years.
