Regulation of Sex Pheromone Biosynthesis in Chrysodeixis chalcites and Heliothis peltigera by PBAN

  • Chapter
Insect Neurochemistry and Neurophysiology · 1989 ·

Abstract

The purpose of our study was to characterize the biological activity of PBAN (Pheromone Biosynthesis Activating Neuropeptide, Raina and Klun, 1984; Raina et al., 1989), and to study its mode of action on the biosynthetic process in the pheromone gland of two moths species: Heliothis peltigera and Chrysodeixis chalcites.
