Abstract
This syndrome, which occurs infrequently, is caused by compression of the posterior humeral circumflex artery and the axillary nerve occurring in the quadrilateral space. It is described as being one of the causes of failure in the treatment of the thoracic outlet syndrome. It is said to occur most frequently in the dominant extremity.
