Abstract

In this section we present some basic techniques for choosing the smoothing parameter h for the kernel regression smoother. In Section 4, we derived concepts of bandwidth selection techniques in the setting of density estimation. There we tried to compute sequences of bandwidths which approximate the A-MISE minimizing bandwidth.
