Abstract
Now that rectified power supplies, amplifiers, oscillators, etc., have been studied in detail, it would be useful to examine or study some devices and/or electronic circuits that employ them. In this chapter a complete typical amplitude modulation (AM) radio receiver circuit will be studied in detail. This will be followed by a study of certain circuits used only in frequency modulation (FM) radio receivers. Selected circuits unique to television (TV) receivers will then be discussed. Since integrated circuits will be discussed in a later chapter, these circuits, to be studied now, are all composed of discrete components.
