Abstract
In the previous three chapters we have studied linear elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic operators. We will now discuss some other operators of mathematical physics. Some of these operators are linear, quasi linear, or nonlinear. The fundamental solutions for these operators and their properties are discussed, and their relationship with the previous operators are mentioned, wherever applicable. Quasilinear operators and equations will be discussed in detail in Chapter 14.
