Abstract

The goal of this chapter is to define some key concepts which help explore and explain the tourism-psychology interface. The concepts to be discussed apply to different levels or stages of the tourist phenomenon. They will be presented in order from those concerned with pre-travel factors, those relating to the on-site experience of the tourists and those directed towards post-travel processes and experience.
