Abstract
The workshop participants hosted by this group and their research areas whilst at the workshop were: 1. Nick Blackaby, University College, London, inviscid and vortex instabilities of compressible flows. 2. Pete Blennerhasset, New South Wales, Stability of superposed fluid. 3. Nicki Horseman, Exeter University, secondary instabilities of vortex flows. 4. Jitesh Gajjar, Iowa State, finite amplitude instabilities of compressible boundary layers. 5. Philip Hall, Exeter University, vortex-wave interaction theory. 6. Sophie Jallade, ONERA-Toulouse, Vortex instabilities of flows over wavy walls. 7. Sharon Seddougui, ICASE, instability of compressible flows. The re-search carried out by Blackaby and Horseman can be found in their PhD theses to be submitted in August 1990 at University College and Exeter University. Seddougui’s work hqs appeared as ICASE report 89–50 and will also appear in QJMAM.
