Abstract

The topic of receptivity and its importance were suggested twenty years ago by Morkovin (1969). There was relatively little early progress. The beginnings of receptivity studies are summarized in a paper published just five years ago (Reshotko, 1984). However, the content of that paper has been largely superseded by developments within the last five to six years that are highlighted in this panel presentation.
