Abstract

Swaging die production is one of the main consumers of expensive and scarce tool steel. The production of sufficient quantities of tool steel for this purpose is very important. It is particularly important to improve the service characteristics and working life of the die and to reduce the manufacturing costs of tool production, all of which can be accomplished successfully through electroslag technology (EST).
