Abstract
Much research has been performed through the joint efforts of Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgy Institute (DMI), the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute, the K. Libkhnet tube plant, and the “Dneprospetsstal” plant to analyze the quality of train wheel and bearing alloys after electroslag remelting (ESR).
