Abstract
Extensive observations of nearby supernova SN1987A have been made at the 3.9m Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT). Most of these are spectra, with a wide range of wavelengths and resolutions, which are being processed and collated into an open-access archive. Here we present two subsets of this archive: a set of low-dispersion optical spectra taken from 10 to 755 days after core collapse, and a study of emission line profiles made at very high dispersion and signal-to-noise ratio. SN1987A has also sparked interest in other supernovae and we report on the progress of a program to follow the spectral evolution of SNe at late times.
