Abstract

To completely understand the evolution of SN 1987A, one must understand the evolution of massive stars in the LMC. That is, one must determine the evolution of the average stars before one can judge whether Sk -69°202 was average or not, and in either case what the systematics of its evolution were. A key question to which we will return is whether Sk -69°202 was an average star.
