Abstract
A promising method for reducing the effects of temperature sensitivity and so allowing reliable abundance estimates from spectroscopy, is to consider the intensity ratios of different species. We have examined the intensity ratio of [CoII] 1.547 µm to [FeII] 1.533 µm for the period 255 to 574 days (Fig. 1) (VARANI et al in preparation). Although the two lines are somewhat blended, inspection of Fig. 1 clearly shows that the [CoII] line steadily declined relative to the [FeII] line.
