Abstract
In the previous chapters we assumed an ideal mechanical accuracy in machine geometry in terms of machining and assembling of basic components. However in practical manufacturing of electro-magnetic systems, technological inaccuracies in mechanical performance, as well as inhomogeneities in the magnetic and conductive materials, are unavoidable. Mechanical inaccuracy is more of an influence for small electro-machines in which mechanical tolerances and assembly errors are comparable with nominal system dimensions. In this chapter we establish analytically a computational tool to compute the influence of several basic mechanical technological irregularities on the performance accuracy of the basic types of electrical machines discussed in previous chapters.
