Abstract
In this chapter, we discuss limiting properties of predictors of finite population quantities. Both, the sample size and the population size should be large. Some limiting properties like consistency and asymptotic normality of certain predictors, under certain regression models, are considered. First we discuss conditions under which linear predictors of the population total T are asymptotically normal. Consistent estimators of the prediction variance are also considered. Next we investigate the limiting behavior of predictors of β N .
