Abstract

In this chapter, we study the structure of maximum—likelihood predictors (MLP). There are several notions in the literature of predictive likelihoods. The reader is referred to the illuminating review paper of Bjørnstad (1990) on the subject. We focus attention on three types of predictive likelihoods and the ensuing predictors.
