Abstract

Quattro Pro provides an iterative method of calculation in the Tools menu, Solve For. By using Solve For, an equation can literally be solved backwards; similar to a trial and error calculation. If a given result is required, the variable that will produce that result can be determined. The variable is adjusted by iteration until the equation balances using the specified result.
