Abstract

The two sets of statistical functions of Quattro Pro are identical except for the method of designating the block for the calculation. The standard statistics functions set the block by cell location, as in @COUNT(B5…B30). The database statistics functions use the Block, Column, and Criteria as in Table 6.1. Since the database is memory based, the standard statistical functions can be used if the cell locations are known. To have the best of both worlds, either the database or the standard statistical functions can be used on a spreadsheet if the column headings are in a database format.
