Part of the book series: Ecological Studies ((ECOLSTUD,volume 91))

Abstract

This chapter briefly summarizes characteristics of the field sites participating in the Integrated Forest Study (IFS). The information presented here was abstracted from a published report (Bondietti 1990), which presents greater detail about activities and characteristics at each of the research sites including a complete description of the meteorological towers for atmospheric sampling. Tables 2.1 and 2.2 summarize selected site data and the site code abbreviations used throughout this volume, and Figure 1.2 shows site locations.
